Almer Technologies has successfully closed a USD 3 million funding round, with Vi Partners, the longest established Swiss VC, taking the lead. This new investment, joined by Kickfund, is set to support Almer’s advancements in Augmented Reality (AR) technology, driving forward its innovative solutions and expanding its impact in the AR landscape.

Swiss engineering startup Almer Technologies is revolutionizing communication in remote maintenance, customer service, and logistics with its new Almer Arc 2. Timon Binder, CTO and Co-Founder, describes the Arc 2 as a lightweight, user-friendly, and affordable alternative to the cumbersome and costly AR headsets currently available.

According to Sebastian Beetschen, Co-Founder and CEO, the Arc 2 is more than just another AR smart glass. It is a sophisticated tool integrated with advanced AI-driven features, designed to cater to a wide range of industrial applications with unparalleled functionality and efficiency.

“We have been fascinated by the drive and agility of the Almer team. They are transforming the use of Augmented Reality in Industries thanks to their powerful knowledge of both hardware and software. They stand out in their space and this product mastery enables them to offer the best possible user experience for frontline workers needing remote assistance. We’re excited to support this exceptional team in their journey,” stated Olivier Laplace, Managing Partner at Vi Partners, who discovered Almer Technologies at the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Awards.

Besides being ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups in 2023 and 2024, Almer Technologies participated in Venture Leaders Mobile in 2023 and won the final stage of Venture Kick in 2022.
