Daphne Technology, in collaboration with Williams, has been awarded a nearly USD 6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy's Methane Emissions Reduction Program (MERP). The project, titled "Daphne and Williams Methane Slip Abatement Plasma-Catalyst Scale-Up," focuses on scaling innovative solutions to address methane emissions, a pressing environmental challenge.

Daphne Technology and Williams have been awarded nearly USD 6M through the DOE's Methane Emissions Reduction Program to expand their methane abatement technology.

Daphne Technology and Williams are collaborating to tackle methane emissions in the oil and gas sector. As part of this effort, Daphne’s SlipPure™ technology, a plasma-catalytic system, will be deployed on four natural gas engines in Williams’ U.S. operations. Williams will oversee installation and testing, ensuring the technology is evaluated under various conditions.

The project focuses on reducing methane slip—emissions from natural gas engine exhaust—while assessing SlipPure™ for performance, adaptability, and cost-effectiveness. This initiative aims to address a pressing energy sector challenge, offering a practical solution for methane abatement.

By combining their expertise, Daphne Technology and Williams aim to enhance environmental responsibility and operational efficiency, contributing to meaningful progress in methane emission reduction.

Daphne Technology participated in Venture Leaders Deeptech in 2020, was ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups from 2018 to 2022, and won Venture Kick in 2018.
