Before the 10 Venture Leaders Technology 2021 travel to Silicon Valley at the end of the month, the Swiss National Startup Team members kicked off their roadshow experience in Schlieren. The entrepreneurs had the opportunity to learn more about each other startups and get advice on pitching to American investors from Kellerhals Carrard's Karim Maizar.

To prepare for the international roadshow, the entrepreneurs met at the startup space in Schlieren. During the workshop, the startups had the chance to exchange ideas, learn more about each other’s innovations, and get their pitches ready for Silicon Valley. Karim Maizar, a partner and head of the startup desk at Kellerhals Carrard, supported the Venture Leaders with helpful tips on how to raise funds from international investors. “As a sponsor, having been to the US with the Venture Leaders already several times, I know exactly what a quantum leap such a trip can mean to a Swiss startup. We at Kellerhals Carrard are very passionate about the program and encourage every participant to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. It’s going to be a hell of a ride! Very much looking forward,” said Maizar.

“The kick-off meeting was a great opportunity to get to know our friends who will travel to the US with us. For the roadshow, we are excited about the opportunity to be exposed to the US startup scene and connect with investors—SmartHelio is aggressively looking into launching in the US, so the roadshow comes at the perfect time,” said Govinda Upadhyay, the CEO of SmartHelio.

At the end of the month, the Venture Leaders Technology 2021 will travel to Silicon Valley to advance their global growth and strengthen their international networks. “The 10 Venture Leaders Technology 2021 illustrate that Switzerland has the potential to shape technology trends and play on the global stage,” said Stefan Steiner, co-managing director at Venturelab. “We are looking forward to providing the ambitious entrepreneurs with access to the US market, feedback from investors and experts, and hands-on business development. Supporting them in building a strong international network will be critical for their global growth.”
