Earlier this month, ten promising tech startups were chosen to join the Swiss National Startup Team 2023 and represent Switzerland's innovative potential on a roadshow in Silicon Valley. The entrepreneurs got to know their team members and introduced themselves to the public at a virtual pitch event on Wednesday.

The Venture Leaders Technology 2023 were chosen from over 150 applications by a jury of investors and technology experts. The roadshow in Silicon Valley, one of the world's most important tech hubs, provides a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to accelerate their startups' expansion in the US while expanding their professional network and profiting from workshops with investors and industry leaders.
Last week's kick-off event was an opportunity for the innovators to pitch their solutions and introduce their startups to a virtual audience. The audience also got to elect a team captain: Lara Gervaise, co-founder of Virtuosis AI, received the most votes.

The purpose of the event is also to prepare the entrepreneurs for the roadshow and provide input from specialists: Thierry Barbey, Partner at Kellerhals Carrard and Deputy Head of the Startup Desk Zurich, spoke about the legal aspects of fundraising; Robert Skrobak, Director at Rothschild & Co., gave a pitch preparation workshop tailored to US investors and market experts; and, Amy Tez, a communication and leadership expert, introduced the Venture Leaders to the best presentation and speaking techniques.
This year's Venture Leaders Technology is co-organized by Venturelab and supported by Canton of Vaud, Canton of Zürich, EPFL, ETH Zürich, Kellerhals Carrard, and Rothschild & Co.
