Venture Leaders 2019 Teams Celebrated at the US Embassy in Switzerland

On November 25th, 2019, the United States Embassy in Switzerland hosted a unique event for the Swiss entrepreneurship ecosystem: The Venture Leaders graduation ceremony. The two teams of Venture Leaders Technology and Life Sciences were celebrated at the embassy after their successful roadshows respectively in Silicon Valley and in Boston – an event reflecting on the ties between Switzerland and the United States while showcasing Switzerland as a breading-ground for disrupting technologies.


Hosted by the Deputy Chief of Mission Eva Weigold Schultz at the US Ambassador's residence in Bern, the Venture Leaders 2019 teams gave a short pitch highlighting the impact of their american roadshow before receiving the Venture Leaders diploma. 

The two teams went through the program comprising the kick-off to prepare for the Roadshow, the Startup champions events in Switzerland where they pitched to the Swiss startup community and then went for a full week exposure to US business and Venture Capital scene.

First to travel in March of this year, the Venture Leaders Technology team expeirenced and exceptional week of business acceleratino through meetings with top notch investors and industry leaders.  Proudly showcasing Switzerland as a deep tech nation:

"Our mission was to conquer to the U.S and seduce local VC's. One of the key benefit of the program was to get the support of an entire team of super motivated Swiss entrepreneurs. This experience got us to the next level in terms of pitching and networking skills." said Matthieu Munsch, CEO and co-founder of Qnami, a quantum microscope-maker startup which recently raised CHF 2.6m to enter magnetic imaging market.

The Venture Leaders Life Sciences team first pitch at the Startup Champion Seed Night at EPFL in April , before dive in the Boston VC ecosystem in June.
