Venture Leaders Cleantech 2024: Munich roadshow opens doors for 10 high-potential startups

22.07.2024 16:20 Rita Longobardi

An expert jury selected ten Swiss startups for the Venture Leaders program dedicated to the Cleantech sector. The innovators will head to Munich in November for a business development and investor roadshow to accelerate their ventures’ growth and expand their international presence.

Swiss cleantech startups have demonstrated strong resilience, securing crucial investments of almost 160 million CHF across 27 funding rounds in the first half of 2024. This influx of capital reflects their ability to capitalize on declining raw material costs—allowing them to advance their technological solutions and drive innovation in the sector. By leveraging such investments, these startups are overcoming economic challenges and positioning themselves as leaders in sustainable technology development, underscoring Switzerland's growing influence in the global cleantech industry.

The Venture Leaders expert Jury selected the ten most promising Swiss Cleantech startups to join the Swiss National Startup Team 2024. In November, the entrepreneurs will join a business development and investor roadshow in Munich, offering prime opportunities to present their solutions, connect with industry experts and investors, and take the next step in their startups’ international growth.

“The final selection during the jury day was very difficult. All startups come with impressive solutions, early traction with top industry reference, and a global ambition,” said Jordi Montserrat, co-founder and managing partner at Venturelab. “The quality of the startups illustrates the amazing contribution that Swiss startups can bring to the table to address critical environmental challenges. We can't wait to see them soar on this journey together!”

“The Venture Leaders roadshow has proven incredibly valuable for our team. Connecting with such outstanding entrepreneurs and investors is essential for the growth of any company,” commented Nicolas Weber, CEO and Co-Founder of Voltiris and captain of the Venture Leaders Cleantech 2023.

Venture Leaders Cleantech is organized by Venturelab and supported by DPD, EPFL, ETH Zurich, Helbling Technik, Rentsch Partner, Romande Energie, St.Gallisch-Appenzellische Kraftwerke (SAK), Vaud, and Vischer.
