This September, ten Swiss Medtech startups will head to Boston for the Venture Leaders Medtech 2025 program. Throughout the week, the founders will meet with investors, industry experts, and key figures in the US healthcare sector — a roadshow designed to help them build international connections and move their ventures forward globally.
Chosen from over 70 applicants by a jury of investors and medtech experts, this year's Venture Leaders Medtech will travel to one of the world's top health hubs to accelerate their US market entry. The program offers direct exposure to investors, networking opportunities, and hands-on workshops designed to refine their approach to scaling internationally. Ahead of their Boston roadshow, the ten entrepreneurs gathered in Zurich to meet each other, share insights about their innovations, and fine-tune their pitches for the upcoming roadshow.
The 10 new members of the Swiss National Medtech Team introduced their ventures during the webinar: State of Medtech in Switzerland 2025, to give a first look at what they'll be bringing to Boston. Former Venture Leaders Medtech participant Amélie Béduer, CEO and Co-Founder of Volumina Medical SA, shared her lessons learned. The webinar attendees voted for the team captain and selected Stefan Tuchschmid, Co-Founder and CEO of Scanvio Medical.
As members of the Swiss National Startup Team, the founders are united by a shared ambition to grow their companies beyond Switzerland. Switzerland's life sciences sector remains a major contributor to the country's economy. Based on the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Ranking),13% of Switzerland's most promising startups are medtech startups.
