GetYourGuide closes $133 million convertible loan to secure market position

GetYourGuide, the booking platform for travel experiences, has raised $133 million led by Searchlight Capital. The financing ensures that the company can invest in strategic opportunities to secure its market position for post-pandemic travel demand.

GetYourGuide, supported by both Venture Leaders and TOP 100,  is a booking platform for incredible travel experiences. Since 2009, they made it easy for millions of travelers to find unique and unmissable things to do wherever their travels take them. By connecting people to activities and attractions they love, GetYourGuide creates trips full of meaningful memories. 

GetYourGuide plans to continue to invest in strategic initiatives, develop its world-class digital product and signature experiences, and build out its global inventory to cater to post-pandemic travelers’ latest preferences and hygienic standards.

The financing round was led by Searchlight Capital, followed by GetYourGuide's existing investors, SoftBank Vision Fund, KKR, Battery Ventures, Highland Europe, Spark Capital, Lakestar, Heartcore Capital and NGP Capital, as well as the company’s own founding team and others.
