19.07.2023 07:30 Rita Longobardi

Last week, an expert jury selected the 10 Venture Leaders Medtech 2023, the Swiss National Startup team that will travel to Boston and Cambridge September 25th to 29th. The Venture Leaders Medtech program is organized by Venturelab in collaboration with Swissnex Boston, and supported by EPFL Lausanne, ETH Zurich, Hansjörg Wyss, Kellerhals Carrard, and Canton of Vaud.

Once again since 2007, the dedicated program will represent Swiss Medtech innovation in the United States. During the week-long roadshow, the 10 Venture Leaders will pitch to key US investors and meet with leaders and experts in the Medtech industry. “From novel surgery solutions to AI-driven solution to improve patients care, the 2023 Venture Leaders Medtech Team illustrate again the Swiss made quality in this field. I am excited to introduce the entrepreneurs to Boston’s investor scene,” said Jordi Montserrat, managing partner at Venturelab. “And the recent successful exit to a US-based company of our alumni Lunaphore illustrates the contribution of the roadshow, supporting entrepreneurs in setting solid foundations for their journey."

Join the team’s introduction and online pitch session on August 10th, 2023, and unlock a world of innovation, collaboration, and limitless possibilities in the exciting field of medical technology.

To select the 10 Venture Leaders Medtech 2023, a jury of professional investors and Medtech experts reviewed almost 90 applications. The 10 selected startups improve diagnostics, treatments, and well-being with innovative solutions covering smart devices, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

Boston is one of the world’s major life sciences hubs and the ideal springboard for ambitious startups on their way to global expansion. By building a strong network, entrepreneurs will be able to accelerate their international growth. “Venture Leaders Medtech in Boston has unprecedentedly boosted our contacts in the USA. “Being part of Venture Leaders gave us a great introduction to the Boston Startup Ecosystem We were a wonderful group, and the interactions within the team and with local startups were super helpful. I met potential investors and have many contacts to follow up with to plan our market entry better,” said Claudia Schekel, CEO of Oncobit, a Venture Leader Medtech 2022.
