Since 2006, Venturelab has brought ten of the most innovative Swiss-based Medtech entrepreneurs to the US for an intensive business development program. Here you learn more about their US adventures.

The Swiss National Medtech Startup Team, known as the Venture Leaders Medtech, embarked on a 360º immersive journey from September 25 to 29 that didn't fail to meet their expectations. Their destination? The dynamic city of Boston, a hotbed of innovation and opportunity in the Medtech industry. This dedicated roadshow was nothing short of a game-changer for these ten high-potential startups, poised to make waves in the US market.

Handpicked after a fiercely competitive selection process, the team showcased an impressive array of startups destined for future success. Their action-packed week in Boston kicked off with a warm welcome from Swissnex Boston and a session exploring the intricacies of startup finance in the US with insights from Talal Ali Ahmad, Founder & CEO of Predictive Healthcare, setting the tone for what would be an extraordinary experience. They then received feedback from a panel of Medtech experts, including Edward Melia, Vinit Nijhawan, Hirak Parikh, Jeff Knox, and Sean J. Cheng. The day culminated in a reception at the Swiss Consul's Residence in Boston, hosted by Benjamin Bollmann.

The following days were filled with dedicated sessions featuring key players in the Medtech industry. They plunged into regulatory consultation with MCRA, witnessed revolutionary technology at Portal Instruments, and tapped into the vast network of MassMEDIC, the largest regional Medtech association in the United States. A workshop led by Nicolas Mosimann, a partner at Kellerhals Carrard, provided very useful glimpses.

The day concluded with the Medtech Cruise, offering our Venture Leaders the opportunity to pitch their solutions against the backdrop of Boston's scenic waters.

The final two days featured engaging panel discussions led by experts from Helbling Technik and Beacon Venture Partners, enhancing the knowledge and networking of the Swiss Medtech startups.

Of course, no journey to Boston would be complete without a sailing excursion in Boston Bay. This relaxing outing allowed our entrepreneurs to engage in meaningful discussions, reflect on the event's most critical highlights, and draw key takeaways that will undoubtedly shape their path to success.

The Venture Leaders Medtech's roadshow in Boston was more than just a trip; it was an impactful experience that will fuel their growth and drive their innovations forward in the dynamic world of Medtech entrepreneurship.

Venturelab has been organizing international roadshows for the Swiss National Startup Teams for 18 years. The ambitious entrepreneurs and their promising startups are introduced to top-class investors and potential customers in leading technology hubs such as Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, London, Munich, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Barcelona. The Venture Leaders Medtech program is organized by Venturelab in collaboration with Swissnex Boston, and supported by EPFL Lausanne, ETH Zurich, Hansjörg Wyss, Kellerhals Carrard, and Canton of Vaud.
